"The need for a battery on Christmas eve was panic stations all round but managed to get one on line from our local Halfords outlet. Worked perfectly well first time and with a 3-year guarantee imagine it will out live our ownership of the car."

"Usual problem - 1st sign off damp, cOld weather and car won't start. I couldn't order battery on line due to the delay in receiving it, so I reserved battery and arranged fitting as I knew it was very awkward. Battery was waiting for me when I arrived ( managed to bump start) so all was well. Can't comment on longevity yet but seems to be ok . A good service."

"arctic weather conditions, my wife's battery in her VW Beetle finally gives up the ghost. Halford's online to check battery type, price and availability. immediate answers to all and ex-stock at my local branch. reserved the battery received reference notfication, collected battery 10am on New Year's Day (yes Halford's were open all over the New Year holidays) beetle back on the road - all within 12 hours inc overnight! excellent website layout, function, process and more importantly first class service. well done!"

"Used the reserve on line service as I needed this quickly. It showed which store had it in stock. Service worked a treat. As for the battery, bought it home, put it in, and the wife's car started."

"I had an issue with this battery. Took home, fitted, went to work & back.
Next day it was flat. Called mechanic out who said it must have been insifficiently charged or deteriorated from being on the shelf too long.
So, if you buy a battery from halfords, make sure they test its fully charged before you leave the store."
