Pros: fast route calculation, decent battery life, mobile phone sized
Cons: speaker distorts at high volume, speed camera data is not preloaded
"A nice well made solid block of glass/plastic and metal. About the size of a mobile phone but slightly thicker. The route calculations are straight forward and very quick. Has all the basic features of most sat navs but fast at recalculating routes compared to the Tomtom and Navman units I previously had. Battery life is long enough for most journeys without needing the in car charger. Decent size to carry in a coat pocket so you don't have to leave it in the car. Not had a chance to test the speed camera warning as the data has to be downloaded. The music and video functions seem a bit pointless, don't think I will ever use those features, so no comment on them."

Pros: pocket size with good features
Cons: the battery life doesn't last that long
"The Snooper sapphire is easy to set up, easy to use and gave clear information and audible notifications. It is great value for money for what you get. The screen is a nice size. My dad and I was that impressed with this model we drove over 30 miles to 2 different Halford Stores get one each as our local stored didn't have any left."

"Positive - The unit is very well made and 'feels' like a quality product. It works as a navigation device out of the box. When camera detection operates is displays a clear warning full screen and tells you the speed limit.
Negative - It does NOT offer speed camera detection out of the box. You must subscribe even to get the first down load, in doing that you have to commit to a twelve month period (OK they say six months are free but that is still £30).
It is a small / compact device, the sound volume and quality are poor, almost unusable in the car for navigation purposes, just about good enough for camera warnings.
Depending on the size of vehicle and where the unit is mounted it might be too small to use as a navigation device in some vehicles.
I Have run Snooper side by side with a TomTom using pocketgps database for many hundreds of miles.I don't beleive the enigma database in the Snooper is as comprehensive as it is claimed to be.
The perfect device doesn’t exist, if it did it would be the best features of TomTom, Snooper and Garmin in one unit."
