"This is a great book for anyone wanting to repair and maintain their own bike. It covers just about everything from removing wheels and repairing punctures to fitting cassettes and simple wheel truing. Each repair is set out very well with large photos and clear instructions. I would recommend this book to anyone inspiring to learn bicycle mechanics."

Pros: saves paying for repairs, full of info, hard back
"With my bikes and the kids bikes doing repairs myself is a lot cheaper and you know its been done properly - the book is very easy to follow with pictures and step by step instructions for all makes of bikes and parts - A MUST HAVE for home repairs"

"It's a great book, ideal for anyone wanting to do their own repairs/servicing. I've not used mine yet but I borrowed a mate's which helped me loads and bought it on the strength of that."

"With all tools, sometimes its an informative how to book which seems to get left off the list. Well this is a must for your tool box if you are an enthusiastic cyclist who is willing to do a fair bit of maintenance on their own bike. Lists jobs in a well concise manner with ability ratings on how easy or hard a job is and what tools are required. A good book on bikes from the people who bring you the Car Maintenance guides."

Cons: 4th edition was first printed in 2003, may not include modern equipement, 5th edition now out
"This is a great book for all cyclists keen on maintaning there bike, it shows step by step "how to " guides simplifing the process.
This book is the 4th edition, the 5th edition is now out ( orange cover) it is more up dated and includes working with shimano, sram and campagolo."
