"I was getting fed up with paying to park my car at the station, so worked out that this bike would pay for itself in 5 months, AND save me 5 minutes getting from the station to work at the other end.
It's an ideal commuter bike, with the luggage rack, prop stand and complete with mudguards (my son recommended them to avoid arriving at work with a piebald appearance), runs smoothly and with a fair turn of speed.
Not having ridden (apart from brief trials on the kid's Xmas presents) in 45 years, since soon after I left school, the derailleur gears (my last bike had a 3-speed hub) were a revelation - the E-Z shift is superb - and so many of them!
Now, wish me luck for a sprint triathlon..."

"Good job that I was a cyclist when I was a boy, so I knew how to put a bike together!
Very impressed with the quality and how the bike rides now it's built. Still having a little trouble getting the gears adjusted, but so does my son and he bought his from Halfords shop already assembled, so I don't think it would have made a difference. All in all a very good buy and I am very pleased with it."

"The bike self-assembly was very straightforward and the manual very user-friendly. It's a pleasure to ride, very light and the gears very responsive. The only downside so far is the saddle which is not as comfortable as I'd expected. Something a little more "Squidgy" would have been preferrable."

Assembly of the bike was easy
Instructions on assembly was pathetic, not clear , and more suited to a childs bike.
once assembled the bike was generally ok except for the gears
After a short ride the gears needed constant adjustment.
A friend who is a professional bike mechanic told me that the gear system is of very poor quality and that a new mag would need to be fitted to sort out the problems that i had encounterd.
having paid over £200 for the bike i will now talk to halfords and see what they have to say on this issue

"Bought this bike as it was quite cheep (£135 with online discount). Didn't expect that much, but was very surprised when it arrived. Components seem good quality, it has 700c wheels not the 26" as advertised. Thought it may be a bit small with an 18" frame, but its perfect (I'm 5'10").
Similar bikes would cost more, and this comes with the mud guards, pannier rack and kick stand!
