"I fitted this product and got a flat tyre after only 35 miles. I pushed the bike home expecting to find a large puncture but found two pin holes , like a large staple . these were certainly less than the 3mm the slime is supposed to fill."

"A better quality tube than normal with puncture protection built in -beats riding on the rim or walking home ( Iv'e done both many times) the quality valves will allow you to pump up your tyres rock solid which will also protect against the dreaded puncture.
A must for Racing / touring bikes used regularly ."

Pros: cost as much as an inner tube wouldanyway
"So far so good,makes the bike a slight tad heavier when lifting but if you ride your bike instead of carrying it,then you won't notice the diffrence:0)"

Pros: easy to fit, easy to lock/unlock valve
"I had used own-brand self-healing tubes, but couldn't deflate one when trying to remove a cut tyre (the tube was fine) Having to wreck a good inner tube to get the damaged tyre off was annoying. However, the puncture-free 3000 miles I'd done on the tube speaks volumes for the type! I spent a little bit more on the slime tube, and it's worth it. I found it easy to fit and very easy to use, with a long valve and a great set up so it doesn't push into the tyre when you try to connect a pump. It's very easy to lock/unlock the valve and thus easy to inflate/deflate the tube. Can't comment on longevity as it's only done around 100 miles so far!"

Cons: very difficult to fit
"Very awkward to fit, "I was forewarned in Halfords Irvine store thanks David" after third attempt removing and re-fitting, managed to get tube fitted without any kinks.
Be warned this tube outside diameter is slightly larger than standard inner tube.
The product ratings on this item are really not relevant, as I have only done seventy miles with these fitted, too early to tell how they perform."

"I thought these would be heavy and result in a poor ride, but they are quite light and do stop punctures, used them on rides when I'm sure I'd have punctured.
Valve is quite short"
