Pros: upright riding position, not too heavy, brakes work well
Cons: gears could be better, tyres not pucture proof
"The Apollo Etienne is an easy to use everyday bike with a great upright riding position (good for my back) and the handle bars can be adjusted easily. It appears to be robust, it is reasonably light weight despite me fitting a rack. The brakes work very well - I think that disc brakes for this particular bike would be overkill. The Shimano gears don't seem too easy to select the correct gear, although this may improve as I get used to them. I would have hoped for a puncture resistant tyre, but this will have to be upgraded by me."

Pros: easy to ride, upright position bettter for my back
"This was exactly what I wanted so gave it 5 stars. The price was right too and so much easier to ride than my old mountain bike. Only minor issue was that the handlebar setting made fitting of traditional wicker basket difficult so I added a metal one instead. Looks good overall too and not too 'flash' as some bikes very bright in colour. Grey/ black combination is subtle but smart."

Pros: good looking all rounder
Cons: none
"Purchased his product online for home delivery.Quite a lot of assembly was required handlebars, stem, front wheel and mudguard and seat. One part found broken and had to drive to a store to get replacement. Overall the bike is excellent value and quality for the price. Ideal for roads and cycle paths very easy to ride."

"In an effort to get some exercise I decided to buy a bicycle. I wanted one with a low rise, lightweight, large wheels, in other words easy to ride. Although it is early days, so far I am delighted and look forward to many days of happy cycling."

"This bike is fantastic, I have not been on a bike for many years, but this one was very easy to ride.
It has a very comfortable seat and easy step through frame, great for on and off road. I looked at many other bikes, but this one was much better quality for the money, I would recommend this bike to others.

Pros: lightweight, agile, stylish, fast, sturdy, easy assembly
"Previously I owned a Mountain Bike, but it felt like I was hunched over and was getting back ache. Most the time I steered while holding the handles with my fingertips just try to and sit with a straighter back, but this Apollo Hybrid Bike allows me to sit up straight while gripping the handles with a full palm and I've had a lot less back and neck ache.
The Handle Bars also move so you can tilt them further or more towards you, So you can really customise this to suit your posture.
There is a similar bike without this handle bar adaption, but I would recommend you spend slightly more money for this one.
Peddling is also very easy, previous bike I struggled going up a hill I travel on every day, but I have had no problem at all with the new bike.
The best Present I have bought myself for a long time. I would defiantly recommend. 5*"

Pros: very comfortable
Cons: none
"I have been cycling to school and work for over 30 years and this is by far the most comfortable bike I have ever had. I decided to spend a bit more than usual as the last couple of bikes I had purchased were very cheap and didn't last very long. Luckily this was on offer just when I needed a new one and was definitely worth every penny. I mainly cycle on roads and cycle paths so went for this trekking bike rather than the mountain bikes I normally buy and am so pleased I did, it is a lovely, smooth ride."

Pros: super colour scheme
Cons: no suspension seatpost
"This bike has lovely colour scheme and nice detailing. The sweeping on the down tube is a very attractive feature. I also love the TRON like appearance of the reflective tyres and frame, very hard to miss in a cars headlights at night! The gearing is very gentle and makes the local hills around my home a real breeze to get up. I bought a basket for my bike and its great for shopping and carrying bits and bobs. Added a prop stand as well as nice easy combination lock. Very happy with my setup."

Pros: inexpensive, fairly light, easy to ride
Cons: home adjustments awkward, needs a 20/21" model too
"As I am 6' tall it was recommended I buy the 19" bike and they replaced the seat post to make it slightly higher for me, but the new seat post won't angle the saddle back properly, so if you're tall I'd recommend going for a 21" instead in a different model (they don't do 21" in this model).
The bike itself is quite good, after a few miles the gears get a bit smoother (very clunky at first and a derailment). Without panniers, it's quite light, and the saddle is fairly comfortable, although because of the angle problem I slide forward quite a bit.
The frame is an attractive but irregular shape, so it's almost impossible to fix things onto it - I had to put my bottle cage on the handlebar, and I can't fix my D-lock to the step over bar, so have to put it in a pannier, which adds to the weight of the bike of course.
The handlebar type is one which is difficult to raise and lower at home, so make sure you sit on the bike and get it adjusted at the shop before you take it away. I'd also suggest getting anti-puncture tyres fitted, I had a puncture on my first journey, and it's worth the extra cost, unless you're an expert at replacing inner tubes at the roadside.
The bike is easy to steer and the pedals are smooth. It's an inexpensive bike and is a good starter if your budget is not high. If you can afford more and intend to ride longer distances, then I'd suggest going for a higher model, but if you're just using it for commuting it'll do the job well."

"I cycle 80 miles a week travelling to and from work and for the last year have done it on an old mountain bike that weighs about the same as a medium-sized pony.
I was looking for a cheap, ladies hybrid with an aluminium frame. This one ticked the boxes so I went for it and have been using it for my commute for the last 2 weeks.
The first thing I noticed is that it's very light in comparison to my old bike. It feel really smooth to ride and I like the very upright posture that it forces you into. The seat is very comfortable but it's really wide and ugly. I've had a few issues with the front derailer not wanting to move the chain onto the third cog. I think they'll easily be able to sort it out when I take it for the free 6 week service.
Overall I'm really happy with it and find it a pleasure to ride. To fully appreciate it I recommend that you spend the proceeding year riding a bike made of lead that barely works and also travel back in time and ask your parents to never buy you a new bike and just keep giving you your big sister's old one instead."

Pros: price and the fact it's an upright bike
Cons: the seat isn't that comfy
"I decided to buy this bike because of the reviews I'd read from other users and I wasn't disappointed. The adjustable seat and handlebars make it very comfortable. The frame is not too heavy and the grips on the handlebars are bigger than usual making them easier to hold.
The only thing I didn't like was the seat and I immediately changed it for a wider, softer one that I used on my previous bike.
All in all, however, I'm delighted with my purchase as it allows me to ride in comfort with no stress on the wrists or shoulders - would highly recommend it."
