Pros: instructions seem comprehensive for most cars
Cons: single use
"easy enough to install once I had fathomed the instructions and seemed to work ok in France.
removing them was easy enough although the sticky film was left behind. this was easily removed in one after some time spent picking the edges....good way to waste some time waiting to get on the ferry!
once this film was removed there was very little residue left on lights"

Pros: instructions enclosed are very clear and detailed
Cons: very fiddly to unpeel the paper backing
"Bought these headlamp converters for a short break in France. Fitted them while in the queue waiting to board the Ferry. You have to peel off the protective paper to reveal the sticky back of the converter patches, and we found that one was not perforated properly. This meant that the sticky backing actually came off of the patch together with the paper backing. It was a little tricky to realign it and get it back on the converter. Also we thought that the converters would be reusable, but they did not remove cleanly so it looks as though new ones will have to be purchased for each trip we make."

Cons: fell off
"Bought headlamp converters for driving in France. Unfortunately, having followed the instructions for fitment, one of them didn't even make it to Calais. It came unstuck and fell off en-route, leaving me without correctly adjusted headlights when I arrived in France."

Pros: for standard car lenses
Cons: poor on celica lenses
"Lasted less than a day on the continent. Stated suitable for Celicas, but didnt stay on lenses. Fitted in the morning and were gone by the time I reached my 1st destination. Perhaps Ok for standard shaped lenses."

Cons: adhesive difficult to remove after use
"To remain legal when driving in Europe you need 'beam benders'. This is an excellent product but if I could change anything I would make them re-usable and have the adhesive easier to remove off the headlight after use."

"If you take these with you in the packet to put on in the port/tunnel, remember to take SCISSORS to open the packet and to help separate (if necessary) the round and long bits of the reflector. Although they are perforated they do not separate easily.
Unfortunately it seems to be impossible to use these more than once, which makes it expensive for day trips. Also leaves a sticky residue on the headlamps, you will need to clean this up as all sorts of dirt will then stick on and reduce your visibility back in the UK.

Pros: reuseable, lots of instructions, fab reserve and pick up service from halfords
Cons: slightly confusing instructions
"The stickers come with a comprehensive set of instructions which clearly describes the placement for many many cars.
However, another section of the instructions suggested placing the stickers on an entirely different part of the lights.
Still - we drove around in the dark with them on and no one flashed us. We'll be reusing them on the next trip as they are good quality and look like they'll be sticky for a while yet. The packaging is handily made of plastic so I can stick them on there for reuse."

"These converters are ESSENTIAL and required by law in some European countries. I get a set each time I go overseas. For first time users, my advice is to open the pack a few days before your journey and familiarise yourself with the fitting instructions. Better than waiting till you get to the ferry terminal to do it as the instructions do take a bit of studying first time around.
They do leave a residue on the headlamp lens when you remove them so remember to switch on your headlamps for a few minutes before removing, and then a little glass cleaner or white spirit will remover the excess sticky if needed."

"Not reusable, leaves lots of glue on the headlight when you peal it off.
Saw lots of confused drivers working out where to place these on their headlights while waiting for the ferry.
So manual could be a little more clear.

Cons: one off use (but i believe i could use them again
"I purchased this product for a trip to France. It comes with very detailed instructions which looks to cover every vehicle and headlight type ever made. The adhesive is very strong but not difficult to remove on return to UK. I was sceptical about how good they would be (I have a 2007 model Ford Mondeo) but leaving in the early (dark) hours of the morning I could tell they had blocked the LH upwards part of the beam, perfectly."
