Pros: fantastic well finished carbon frame, excellent levels of equipment, match for other top end carbon bikes, very resopnsive mbk, brilliant price
Cons: check all nuts bolts etc when you get home
"Have recently purchased the Carrera Titan mbk, when collected from Barrow in Furness store 'where it was supposed to be set up ready for use' I had to carry out a few tweeks with one being the cranks which were loose, so advise that everyone checks all nuts, bolts etc to recommended torques, that aside the sales team were very helpfull and took the time to check that the frame size was correct, having ordered a 20" to compare with the 18" frame in store.
Have had a chance to put the bike through it's paces in the Lake District, and having had several competition hard tails and suspension mbk's, I have found the frame extremely responsive for all cross country riding and well capable of carying my 15 stone frame over boulders, loose, up and down hill, word to the wise lean well forward on steep up hill sections as the frame is very light and front wheel lifts easily, great for cross country down hill riding (and wheelies if required).
All together an extremely well constructed mbk with extremely good levels of equipment. Have heard 'on the internet grape vine' that the frame is manufactured by a leading frame manufacture, suggest you do your own research, prehaps Halfords can assist. Hope Halfords do more research into this type of frame and stick with the policy of attaching good quality equipment, and also commit to training staff in the complexaties of bike constuction, sales and maintenance.
After trying several makes of up market 'off road' bikes I found the Titan to be at least 'if not more than' a match at 1/2 the price.
Keep up the good work in providing a leading edge mbk.

"GOOD PRODUCT VERY LITE, WAS SET UP BY A BIKE TECHNICIAN AT HALFORDS PAISLEY AND WAS READY ON TIME AS ADVISED. FEELS STRONG ON DOWNHILL COPES WITH ANYTHING I HAVE THROWN AT IT. BRAKES AND FORK WORK VERY WELL, HANDLE BARS FEEL A BIT OVER SIZED. BUT OVER ALL A VERY GOOD PRODUCT AND GOOD SERVICE FROM THE STAFF AT PAISLEY BRANCH."
