"excellent, car came up as smooth as glass and it was very rough before i clayed, felt like it was covered in overspray. very impressed with it caused no marring or scratching. excellent product from meguiars, i now have the cleanest car in the street."

Cons: halfords don't stock quick detailer on it's own.
"Excellent. If you want your car to have a finish that is as smooth as glass get this product.
Once done the car looks fantastic and is actually easier to clean once it's been done.
The Quick Detailer that comes in the package is great to use on your car after washing even when not claying."

"i bought this product and was worried about using on my 6month old black q7, last thing i wanted as more scratches in my paint work. its has brought so much dirty out my paint work i was amazed as i keep my car generally clean. It took 4 hrs to clean whole car and there was enough clay to do a large 4x4. Polished car straight after and waxed and the results are brilliant."

"I recently took my car to have a scuff painted, on picking the car up I noticed some lumps. I was assured this was glue from the masking tape, after washing my car and taking a closer look it became obvious that this was excess primer. I did a search on the net and saw a few people suggest a clay bar, sceptically I went out and bought this kit. To my amazement after following the instructions the primer was removed along with a few other troublesome spots. Overall I think this a brilliant product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone."

"My 1year old white car looked clean but had gone rough down the sides.Was told to try a clay bar,never used one before looked at Halfords web site,PICKED OUT MEGUIARS, IT'S a bit strange when you try it for the first time,wondered how it worked. BUT WOW what a job it does on the rough side of the car,the muck it brought off the car which I thought was clean would never of dreamed a piece of clay would do this."

"I got this for my car mad boyfriend as a birthday present. He heard a lot of good things about it on several car forums (he has a BMW Mini) and the car looked great after use. It does take a while to get the whole car done but it was worth it. Overall great product."

"This product is fantastic. Before using this the paint work on my BMW was very rough, almost like sand paper. Having bought this car second hand I can only imagine it has not been cared for and therefore collected plenty of dirt in the paint work.
After using this the paint work was show-room quality and smooth, just how it should be. Although I will have to purchase another box of this as it does not quite cover the whole car (BMW 7), it is certainly worth buying if you love your car."

"A good and comprehensive kiti do feel it could be cheaper and not include the wax though, generally you have a preffered wax, so don't see the need for this one, I would however say the meguiars cleaning chems are great quality and often better value."

"Purchased this item with the intent on giving my car a really good thorough clean, took me roughly 3 hours to clay the entire vehicle (bmw 330 ci) and wow does it really make a difference, the paint work feels smooth as glass and the colour really stands out.
Its shocking just how much rubbish builds up on the car over time, specially tree sap which came off with little effort"

"Used this on an 07 Porsche 911, results were great. Took all of the fine dirt of the paint work and really made the colour come alive. Used one full bar on this car. Make sure to use plenty of the detailing spray as lube."

"The thought of rubbing a bar of clay over your cars paint surface is maybe enough to scare people away but be assured, it is perfectly safe and ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL if you want the best finish possible for your car. This really does leave the surface of the paint feeling like a sheet of glass. It is hard to believe how much contamination that the clay pulls out of the paint. The results are clear to see in the clay itself as it discolours as it works. Important to remember to fold the clay bar regularly to find a clean piece to work with, and equaly important to remember to use the detailing spray (provided in the kit) to ensure good lubrication between clay & paint. The beauty is, you probably only need to do this once a year. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are serious about making your car look good."

"Bought this as I had read all the hype about clay barring and thought my 5 year old black 5 series would need doing. The stuff did a reasonable enough job at smothing the front end where there was lots of stonechips and motorway grime but for the rest of the car I didn't feel it made much, if any, difference at all. Seems very pricey for what you get and I could just have used t-cut for the front end and achieved the same results. It was worth a try but I won't be rushing to buy it again."
