"Have just fitted this kit to my 55 plate BMW X5. it works a dream and was a very easy install.took me about 3 hours in total and the longest part was double checking that I had the correct signal wires to the relay. Great product and a relatively cheap way to get a fully functioning 7 pin trailer plug for lighting boards."

Review 2 for Halfords Cycle Carrier Lighting Board Wiring Kit
Essentail for a new lighting board,
May 17, 2010
"Bought this as I have also purchased a cycle rack and needed a lighting board. Everything you need is in this kit. The picture is misleading as the 7 pin plug is pre-wired and the audible relay is a lot better than the picture. Biggest problem I had was getting to my cars wiring but once I had found them it was straightforward after that. Can easily be done as a DIY project. Some essential tools you will need are a 12v Circuit tester (so you can identify the correct wire in your car), some insulating tape and a good pair of pliers. I also had to get some extra 5amp wire and connectors but this was because my cars wiring was split down both sides of the car (58 plate Focus) and the existing wires weren't long enough but that was soon sorted."
