"I have been using this product for a few years now and swear by it. I have used it on both Petrol and Diesels cars and have never been disappointed. After using the treatment I have always noticed an improvement in the engine performance and noise reduction. I even add a little to the water bottle as it can lubricate and protect the waterpump etc.
If you want an oil treatment that really works then this is a must......"

"i always have been skeptical of magic potions for the car but was recommended this by a mate so tried it on my corsa c after putting it in the oil the car is quieter and running at about 500 revs less so saving fuel well chuffed.
on seeing the results got a second bottle for the misses mothers 206 diesel which worked great so her feller got a bottle and used it in his 2l Honda crv and he says his is more responsive and nicer running.
all i can say is after 2weeks in 3 cars all with very high mileage, is it works great so far."

Pros: does what it says it does
Cons: rather expensive when bought in small quantity
"I have been using ZX1 now for a considerable time and find it to be extremely beneficial to the car. The engine hasn't faultered at all in the past 3 years and is now steadily approaching 200,000 miles. Altogether this product has proven its worth in their being no down time apart from regular servicing.
A business vehicle and therefore high mileage does not detract from the formance and I feel this is due to this addetive.
As recommended on the instructions I have used it through the petrol, water systems and have found nothing at all detrimental to the performance of the vehicle , indeed vastly improved running.
Very happy to recommend this product to anyone."

Pros: you'll get the cost back in fuel in no time.

"I've used this stuff for years. Ever since i put it in my ZZR600 and fuel consumption improved from 120 miles to reserve to 150 miles. I checked this again and again as i couldn't believe the improvement.
All the vibes that gave mne tingly fingers after a long trip dissappeared and it just zinged through the revs.
Since then i've used it and the grease in everything i could put it in.
I race bikes and when the engines go for refresh they always comment on how good the engines look compared to others. We actually made a mistake once on the mileage and ran it to double what we would normally do with no issues and still it looked better than everyone elses!
My spanner man has recently had issues with his transit where it has no go at all and is drinking fuel at an alarming rate. A couple of weeks ago he put the last of the ZX1 we had in it after he'd treated the bike and he phoned me on the way home to say his van was going back to normal. The turbo must have been slow in spinning up and the ZX1's freed it off! He now has the performance back and his fuel consumption has shot back to normal as he doesn't need to have his foot on the floor all the time.
Can't rate this stuff highly enough. You'll get the cost back in fuel in no time."

Pros: seems to work as advertised, smoother running, less noise, for all engines old and new, you dont need to use much

"Extralube is superb in that the results are always noticeable. Smoother running and less noise within a few minutes of adding to the oil. It contains no solids unlike most traditional additives and one thing to remember is that it is not really a oil additive at all, but a metal treatment. You can add it to engine and gearbox oil, fuel or even water (to help water pump) and it will soak into and protect metal components against friction and wear.
I have used Extralube since the late 90's in a few highly modified turbo cars including a 180bhp Daihatsu Charade 1 litre GTti, 215bhp MG Maestro 2.0 Turbo and a 300bhp Sierra RS Cosworth. The cars were driven for many thousands of miles and never gave any engine/turbo or gearbox related faults!"

"This product is worth every penny. If you want to prolong the life of any internal combustion engine then this is the answer for you.
I use this in all petrol and diesel engines cars and motorcycles and any application where lubrication is essential. It comes with 2 small measuring cups and also has a very informal leaflet inside which tells you how much to use in all suitable applications.
I used this in my toyota corolla when the power steering was getting a little noisy and when i put this stuff in it made the power steering alot smoother and easier to use.
This is the best product halfords have on their shelfs."

"I've been using the range of ZX1 friction eliminators for over 8 years and have never been disappointed with the results.
I've used the engine additive in petrol and diesel engines in cars, motorcycles and lawnmowers.
Once the fluid has had time to circulate there is a noticeable reduction in engine noise and an overall smoother feeling to the running engine.
Fuel consumption improves and I gained an extra 2mpg on a C180K and an extra 5mpg 307SW. I've never monitored the consumption on my motorcycles but use the additive as more of a protective agent as I don't ride them that often.
I've recently used the additive on my 120d and my wife's Fiesta Econetic and am hoping for the same as I've seen on my past vehicles.
All in all, it does the job, the price is comparable to others on the market but with the backing of NATO and the MoD who use this product you can't go wrong"

"Am glad to be able to whole heartedly recommend this product to anyone willing to listen, have been using ZX1 for several years and whenever I get a new car it's my first purchase. I would say it is most noticeable, audibly, when you put it in a diesel as it makes a lot of those clacky sounds disappear almost instantly. In both diesel and petrol however you can feel the car running more smoothly and quietly! I personally have put it in both the oil and water (can help protect the engine if you get head gasket failure) and when servicing the engineer even used it in the gearbox of my Freelander! All I can say is TRY IT FOR YOURSELF I truly believe you won't be disappointed."

"I've given this product a 4 star overall rating , mainly because of the excellent customer service and contact/response with the Manufacturers - Team ZX1.
They really do reply to e-mails and give good advice and support. All very professional and reassuring. I believe they are totally behind their product and it shows.
I tried this in the gearbox and differentials of 2 cars with high mileage. Unfortunately it did nothing for the noisy one, but for the better one , I believe there was some improvement. Nothing earth shattering, but a bit slicker and smoother through the gears."

"I've been using this ZX1 for a numbers of years, I've put it in the cars engine and fuel system. It does exactly what it says on the product. It improves performance, fuel efficiency, but most importantly the reduction in engine wear. It is particulary good in protecting the engine when cold. I've even used in the my lawnmower! Anything with a engine 4 stroke or 2 stroke. Even put it in radio controlled models, makes them fast and protects the engine. For the money, this in the long run is worth every penny!"
