"Also, but very rare, if the main control unit for the parking sensors is placed on or too close to another ecu computer within the boot of the car, this can cause problems with electrical interference. (Noise in the electrical system) Simple remedy, move the control box for the sensors away from any other ecu modules within the boot area."

Pros: smaller than some factory fitted sensors. not ugly
"The sensors were fitted correctly and they work perfectly, for 8 months plus now. Un like another review saying faulty sensors, if they are not installed correctly they will false alarm. They need correct installation. ie they can only go in a plastic bumper and not into the metal crash bar as this causes false alarms. It is possible with the majority of cars to fit the sensors avoiding the crash bar, if you use a decent installer. Alternatively if you remove the bumper (not required on all cars) you can drill the crash bar hole a lot bigger than the hole in the plastic bumper so that sensors do not touch the metal bar causing interference. You can also get special rubber adaptors, sold separately by Steelmate. Another problem can be from the hole size, although there is a drill bit provided, the drilled hole needs filling with a small round file to 'clean' the hole and make it fractionally bigger. This reduces the pressure put on the sensor from too tight a hole which will also cause false alarms.
Perhaps the other reviewer can check this out maybe as a problem with installation, and not the sensors. Check how tight the hole is. It WILL cause false alarms if too tight.

"Since installed 6 months ago, it failed 3 times. The 1st time one sensor got faulty after ~1 month use and was replaced. The 2nd time the system kept beeping 3 times immediately after engaging reverse, indicating mulfunction: another sensor failed but suddenly started working by itself.!. The 3rd time the same symptoms and 2 sensors stopped working. There will be no 4th time, becaue I will just through them away, and look elsewhere.!"
