Pros: solid
Cons: too many nuts and bolts to lose
"Being a keen windsurfer, I rely on solid roof racks and Thule fit the bill there. I have used them for years with no problem. However, it is frustrating that each new car model requires a new system, and one can rarely use the bars on one car with the feet for another. (eg every VW golf model requires a different system).
The BMW idea of fix points is great in that you know exactly where to fit the rack and it doesn't interfere with the door seals. However, the Rack name "Rapid Fit" is a misnomer, as it took me 2 hours to fit initially, and 10 mins to remove."

Cons: a bit expensive but you get what you pay for
"I reserved a complete set of aero bars. fast ftting kit and feet for my BMW prior to going on holiday.
Ordered and reserved online, got an email back within minutes confirming reservation and even got an SMS message confirming same.
Went to Redditch store the following day but had forgotten my reservation fax; but hey. no worries. I just flashed my text message and voila - order was produced for me.
Great service, easy selection process and top marks for helpful store staff."
