"Really great Toy
converted My FM radio on my 2009 Ford Focus with no problem
can now get all the DAB stations in the area its all hidden away making it less likely someone would try to steal it as there is nothing to see, the only thing visible is the Front screen Ariel which is tucked on the passenger side right next to the A frame and in no way obscures your vision
you may need to retune it when you get back home if your local Halfords store is a distance away the retune is really easy its all voice prompted I had this supplied and fitted at my local Halfords store took less than 45 minutes couldn't see a single thing different on the car dash but as soon as I turned the radio on it switched itself on and all the DAB stations came to life .
perhaps the only thing you need to aware of is FM radios have a small display screen where Built in DAB radios are larger displays so all I see is the Station name like Smooth Radio it wont show the track title playing, but the sound quality is great on the whole I would recommend this to any one thinking of having DAB in the car
and of course you can control everything from the steering wheel controls (if fitted by the manufacture)"

"This is a well designed product that gave good results with standard screen mounted aerial.
Experienced signal loss in a few areas as expected. I think changing to a decent room mounted aerial would be beneficial."

Pros: discreet, integrates well, good menu options
Cons: could do with an earth cable on the supplied ant.
"Works perfectly with Insteon 6000CD in 2009 CMAX Zetec. Installed ariel behind rearview mirror and unit under steering wheel (simple to route wires from head unit) . For the antenna earth (the clear plastic one supplied with the kit) ran a wire with crocodile clips from the antenna copper strip (black sticky bit to the cars external FM antenna mounting point behind the courtesy light) Reception instantly improved (we live in rural Worcester so in amber DAB reception area). This vehicle also has a Quickclear wind screen, this didn't seem to make a lot of difference on reception (tested several locations with bluetac and a seperate antenna earth). The DAB system itself is brilliant! glad we chose this unit, integrates very well with the ford steering control and still sounds good over FM modulation. Highly recommended just make sure you get a good earth on the antenna! I really dont think that Autodab could have done a better job with this unit! Flawless."

"Had highs hopes for this purchase. Halfords offered the best price I could find and delivered quick. The product was easy to fit and the instructions were easy to follow. It is simple to use once you read the instructions but on the move the stations just drop out. I bought two external aerials but it is just the same. Save yourself some money and stick with FM for now."
