"This is a nicely made and specified unit that works well but has a major shortcoming if you want to travel across a number of countries in Europe.The units internal memory is not large enough to accept the latest set of European maps so you can only load one sector (ie France Spain and Portugal) so if you want to travel in another sector (Germany Italy for example) you have to erase the sector loaded and download the new sector,this takes @ 2 hours which is really impractical and very inconvenient.Because of this I returned the unit and purchased one which can cope with a full map set.I would not recommend this unit because of this problem."

"got a tomtom just before i set off on my motorbike trip across the uk. it took me some amazing places and across some amazing passes. i had a clear plan of what i wanted to achieve out of the trip and where i wanted to go. the tomtom helped me realize this! there are a lot of turns and without a tomtom i would not have seen the exact routes that i so carefully plotted. the itinerary option is great! try it out! :-)"

Pros: easy to use, easy to set up, good screen for ease of use, works well with the glove friendly touch screen
Cons: would have liked a charger mount with the kit, a carry case would not have gone a miss
"I was recommended other more expensive Satnav's from a few friends, but I chose to go with the TomTom Urban Rider and I am glad I done so, as for what it does it is 100% better than what I was using, it was easy to pick up after ordering online from Halfords, and easy to set up.
I have used it now several times to in and out of London for my daily work routines and it has been a god send it really has. It was bought in conjunction with the Scala Rider bluetooth headset, and this makes it a fantastic peice of equipment. I now get good and easy to hear and understand instructions allowing me to concentrate on my riding in busy traffic. The screen its self, when I get time to look at it, is well set out and also easy to understand, exactly what I need as a day to day rider in and out of London."
