"This is my first satnav and have not yet used it on a long Journey but am impressed with the features. theprice with the £30.00 cash back a major factor in my purchase and encouraged me to go for a more sophisticated model."

Cons: everything about it
"This sat nav doesn't even deserve 1 star, it is incredibly slow at calculating a route, half the time doesn't pick up traffic which you end up sat in. In my opinion no where near worth a purchase!"

Pros: great maps
Cons: live services dont work sometimes
"The satnav is good the routes are accurate and it has plenty of features for the price but the main reason i bought this was for the live services and they are a let down as most do not work in Northern Ireland e.g. the fuel prices and the cameras although the 3d traffic does work it can sometimes be inaccurate"

Pros: easy to use, value for money, good traffic flow and congestion information, very clear maps, clear heads up display and customizable
Cons: audible warning for speed cameras too quiet
"Very clear mapping.
Congestion, accident and roadworks information is excellent and up to date. List view is very useful on major and trunk roads. Colours to denote traffic conditions can be unclear on the map view but it is a good feature
Speed cameras and red light camera location database is up to date and correct for direction of travel. However alerts are rather inconspicuous, like a soft stop request bell on a bus which isn't very audible when there is high road noise or with the radio on.
Very easy to use.
Satellite signal acquisition is very quick - within 10 seconds even after storing indoors for a week! Can even be used indoors next to an external window for route planning and knowing of any congestion hotspots along the way in your journey.
Value for money.
Better than Tom Tom's TeleAtlas Maps and heads up display."

Cons: too slow, no software support, does not deliver
"Bought this SatNav due to the fact it boasted LIVE traffic updates, which is useful for my line of work. However, it gives traffic updates when IT decides to, not when you need them. And the map screen disappears randomly with or without a route planned.
Currently, due to the fact it is so new it has NO support on the Garmin website, (its not even listed) which causes a problem when, having spoken to Garmin CS they said the reason for the map screen fault was there was an update for the unit!
The routing and re-routing if you go off track is VERY slow
This will be a very good Unit WHEN they get all the bugs sorted and provide support on their site for it. It seems to have to much loaded into it for the CPU to handle.
Took it back to Halfords in Shoreham, spoke to Fred who seems to be the guy in the know with SatNavs and finally changed it for a Garmin 1440T. He said if this is not suitable bring it back and they would change it as was said with this unit. (Please read my review on the 1440T)
All the staff at Shoreham are very helpful as always and will do their best to help you out"
