"When it is working it is the best Sat Nav I have used, But still has the same problems as the previous Tom Tom I owned (Go live 1000) always have problems with map updates they never load first time in fact my Go live 1000 now will not upload any maps and Tom Tom customer service of no real help they are reactive rather than pro-active. But if you never update your maps it is a good product."

Pros: clear instructions and graphical displays
"I bought this for a recent visit to Belgium and Germany. I have never owned a Sat-Nav before and I was very impressed with the TomTom
The Live application means you don't have to get held up in traffic jams as it will always find you an alternative route.
Very clear instructions and graphical displays at major junctions meant it even guided me through Antwerp which was a major victory as far as I was concerned.
I'm off to Australia next year and can download the maps for there and use it there too

"This is my third TomTom and second live! The set-up is really easy and the new features are excellent! I opted for the European maps as I find it invaluable when I go abroad either for work or holidays. The visual lane display and clear audible instructions are really great when traveling on unfamiliar roads. This really helped recently when the car that I was driving in Holland had in-built sat-nav with no lane display. After taking the wrong lane twice, we stopped at took the TomTom from the luggage. Brilliant, took us straight to our destination!"
