"This is the second Hi-Power Michelin inflator I have purchased. I have owned one for a couple of years and I like it, my father saw it and asked for one for Christmas. It's easy to use, quick and does the job. I find I now keep a regular check on my tyre pressure, much nicer to do it in the comfort of my garage than outside at a cold windy petrol station. I used reserve and collect and collected some cash-back from Quidco too. All worked."

Pros: screw type connector, fast, good range of other connectors

"Does what it says on the tin. The connector to the tyre is a screw type which I really prefer over the pressure grip thing. It's also small enough to fit in the boot, and it's a lot quieter that the previous one I had.
It also comes with a few other attachment connectors so my daughters range of footballs also got fixed :)"

"Does what it says on the tin. Very fast inflation and quite. Appears to be good quality and looks like it will last. Cable storage a bit fiddly and screw fiting for connecting to tyre slower than conventional push fit/lever lock but work well."

"digital guage did not work properly kept showing errors conection to valve very fiddly
after checking and inflating 2 of 4 tyres i gave up and reverted back to my 8 yr old inflator which is slower but works.

"I purchased this one as I thought it best to pay the extra money. Wrong, I found the unit just as noisy as the cheaper models, and I didn't feel that I could rely on the readout. I liked the automatic cut off but the readings were all over the place during operation.
On detachment from the valve a lot of air was lost, making it necessary to over inflate to compensate.
The increment scale did not work so I had to get to the reading I wanted by decreasing the pressure from 140 to 30 psi each time I wanted to inflate a tyre. I also found it took much longer to inflate than the manufacturers suggested.
I will be returning this to Halfords asap. Would I recommend it? Sorry No."

"Great product at the right price. It is so easy to use, applying the nozzle to the tyre - no problem. Length of wire from Socket to Inflater - more than adequate. Level of noise - minimal for this type of product. Do I recommend this product - TOO TRUE BLUE!!"

"The rubber hose on my original halfords-own-brand inflator evidently perished in the freezing cold weather dec 2010 (it was languishing in the boot)
Decided to invest a little more in this unit. The fact it screws onto the tyre valve is much more sensible and reliable than a lever. It inflates perfectly well and in reasonable time. It auto shuts off at the required pressure.
I had no problem reaching all 4 tyres on my focus, although obviously I had to pass the wire thru the driver door then disconnect and pass thru the passenger door
I like the fact all the wires can be neatly stowed away. There are a couple of adapters for other inflatable requirements.
A bit pricier than I would have liked but does the job well and I expect it to last. It is significantly better than our previous low end own brand version."

"I paid the extra for the Hi-Power version as it has a automatic cut out when the pressure reaches the amount required. The cable is tidly put away, it doesnt make too much noise, its fast and I believe it to be quite reliable, although I haven't tested the pressure of the tyres with anything else. It automatically puts the pressure upto a PSI higher than selected as it looses pressure and re evaluates the pressure so you can easily put more in."

"having just returned the halfords own twin motor seemingly all dancing ??? i swapped it for this, what a relief, at least this has an automatic cut off and no silly probe you have to hold on to the valve. so easy to use. wish i had not rushed in to it now and read the reviews properly. they say it all, as does this !!!"

"I thought it a great idea to have this simple to use product at home rather than queing up at the garage for ages. Instructions were clear and easy but when I attached it to my front tyres it was failry obvious that the reading it was giving was totally inaccurate; it was so low that the tyres would have been flat according to it. Additionally the length of wire is too short for it to reach all 4 wheels. Luckily my car, which is an estate car, has a plug in unit in the rear as well as in the front so i could overcome that but you may not be so lucky."

Cons: basically ...can't be faulted at the selling price
"I am glad I ignored some of the reviews of this product and went with my gut feeling because this product is the most effective and simplest inflator unit I have used. It is extremely well built, is not overly heavy for the average person, has a useful feature (not gimmicky) of LED lighting, and the screw on function to the tyre valve is far better than the traditional press on method. I am not sure why some reviewers have gripes in this area as fitting it is the simplest and cleanest method I have come across"

"More expensive than some but well worth it. Screw thread is fiddly and you get dirty but better than the usual connector as you can fit it without loosing air from the tyre. Setting the pressure makes it easy and it does stop at the required pressure unlike many others."
