Pros: it powers up, no further pros
Cons: live traffic doesn't work, freezes/lockups, limited bluetooth support, traffic cameras don't work, latest software update has made it unusable, garmin support fob offs
"I bought this Sat Nav at the Halfords Bromsgrove store back in Dec 2011
Shortly after that it began playing up
Input is slow you hit a letter and wait, when you think it hasn't recognised your key press you hit it again and then it decides to play and gives you multiple keystrokes. Very handy when you are trying to type an address or postcode
I reported the issue and I should have taken their advice an returned it.
I was starting a new job which meant quite a bit of travel and so I decided I would live with it for now after all I still have warranty.
I started my new job busy whizzing up and down our fair Isle, and then other issues started raising their heads
Pairing a phone using bluetooth causes random reboots of the system,
Contacted support and they said my phone wasn't supported (FYI Bluetooth is a standard not a phone model)
The map display randomly blanks and you have to wait until it decides to show the map and wait again for the pointer to reappear
If you use the divert button and don't follow the Sat Nav's instructions it locks up and you have to turn it off and on again in order to see what it's doing or to use it for navigation again
Real Time traffic doesn't work and the divert option only reroutes you back into the same congested area as the real time traffic is telling the Sat nav that the route is clear
Closed roads this Sat Nav will route you up closed roads even when the roads have been closed for years
This unit doesn't like Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit, you are supposed to be able to manage your Sat Nav through Garmin's "MyDashboard" on the web, just forget it it doesn't work
This unit doesn't have much internal storage and to do a recent update at Garmin Supports request I had to manually clean up the unit using Garmin's instructions in order to perform the update
Talking of support forget doing it online completely pointless, you log a ticket they reply and if the advice doesn't work you have to log another ticket, you see how quickly this becomes boring after reporting issues for almost 6 months..
Two weeks ago I was promised an RMA, I then got an email from the said automated system stating that all my records had become corrupted and could I log a new ticket.
I rang Garmin again this time I told the guy I wanted an RMA, they said they wouldn't give me one as they had released a further software update which resolves all the issues and it does it bricks your Sat Nav.
My upgrade from has left me with no buttons, a washed out screen and no text box in which to see what I've typed (effectively a brick)
Garmin do not do refunds only exchanges, Customer support blames all Garmin's 3rd party software suppliers for the issues and don't accept their equipment is faulty
There is no support on a weekend and so I will have to wait until Monday,"

Pros: err...
Cons: the traffic re route system is shocking
"bought this sat nav after my old tom tom died, was about 5years old. only got a garmin bec it was a good deal i thought, but it is a heap of junk, the route keeps changing, and the estimated arrival time gets bigger. went on a journey with my friend, he had an oldish tom tom with no fancy re-route bits, and it took me 50mins longer than him, on an 80mile journey. i have since sold this and got a new tomtom which is miles better!!!"

"I bought this to replace an older model, lots of new gizmos, slightly less features on the phone side but still a great sat nav"
