"i got this bike in august 2012 after nearly getting the boardman pro.the spec on this bike is amazing.I changed the tyres to a harder compound,still maxxis the st super tacky tyres are great on the trails but they are a wet tyre and really are hard work on roads and paths.i recommend you buy protection for the frame the cables rub on the side at the front off the frame cutting throu the paint,well my did until i noticed.buy it"

Pros: top class spec, great frame geometry
Cons: frame decals but this is just a taste issue
"I've had this for 8 months now and have to say that its my favourite ever bike and over the years I've had Trek, Saracen, BeOne, Schwinn & Diamond Backs but none has ever felt quite as 'right' as the Wanga.
I switched the generic factory staples such as Stem, pedals, bar & saddle for a bit of Race face kit and switched the chunky Minions for a more svelte pair of Continetal vapours and I was away. It has phenomenal balance and makes you feel quite regal when your perched atop it. I was initially surprised at how twitchy the handling felt but this soon transpired to be merely 'very responsive' and I was soon getting to grips with a gnarly bit of trail in Epping Forest. God I had great fun, superb on the downhill and tough through the slop. I actually found it to be pretty nippy on the XC as well but I assume this is down to the change of tyres.

"As a previous reviewer stated, i also was tied to halfords for my ride to work scheme, but..... i am so glad i was!!! this bike is amazing! the spec alone is enough to send it's competitors running for cover! deore xt's, rockshox revelation & avid elixir's as standard wow!!! all i have done is changed the tyre's to suit my own style of riding, this bike just eats XC trail!!! you get the spec whether you want it or not!!! i love it!!!"
