"Dab works well, FM works well, sounds OK.
As others have said, MIC on calls is very quiet.
The big issue with it is the sound quality when streaming audio over Bluetooth is terrible. This is the same on iPhone/iPod/Android."

"I bought this radio after upgrading my old phone (and hands-free kit) to an iPhone. I had looked at a Parrot kit, but as a lover of Absolute Radio, this also came with DAB and was cheaper!
It has every feature you could wish for - hands-free (it even downloads my phonebook), it streams your music via bluetooth and has usb and aux in, FM radio and a CD player.
Reception of DAB is great with the window mounted aerial I bought at the same time and all other features seem to work as they should!
I was very pleased with the fitter who was very helpful and did a neat job and, as long as there are no problems (I've only had it a day), I can't think of anything to fault, especially at the price.
Much as I would like to update my car, I can't afford to at the moment, so this Sonichi kit is the next best thing and has more features than you would get in most new cars. Really pleased."

"I had this supplied and fitted by Halfords after first being advised to get a Philips, but after installation there was an issue with the display and it had to be removed. On that Philips the DAB was great, the FM reception was good too. It was replaced with this sonichi on which I cannot get a single DAB station and the FM reception is crackly and patchy...very, very poor. The bluetooth is fine with my phone but the awful DAB and FM means that it may be consigned to the bin very shortly unless Halfords can fix it."

"I bought this from the Malvern Halfords store on Wednesday and it was fitted the next day by their fitter, Kevin. I am delighted with the radio. The sound quality and reception are great. I bought an extra internal DAB aerial which seems to do the trick very nicely. It's a real treat to be able to answer the phone through the radio and the sound at both ends of the phone call is loud and clear. Kevin did a great job of fitting it into my car and I'm really pleased. It's a good product, incorporating all the features I wanted into one reasonably priced item."

"I have found that I have to switch the radio on each time I start the engine, and change the source to DAB. My old radio used to switch on itself and would start where I had last left it on.
The CD player is behind the front screen and so it looks like the front screen is really loose.
Other than that, the reception is brilliant and I rarely lose the station I am listening to."

"Dab reception is very limited once your off the A roads or if you go behind a tree or under something. Dab also keeps cutting out even with full signal! Mobile calling is good but the microphone is terrible!!! You have to shout just to be herd as it sounds like your a mile away even with your lips pressed against the mic!!!
Proberbly better to buy a standerd dab head unit and a hands free kit sepreatley.
Front of radio feels loose and sometimes a little fiddley to use but ok and better than others I have had!"

"Originally I was going to go for a Pioneer stereo with in built bluetooth and normal FM radio. However I really wanted DAB and bluetooth and this was one of the very few units to offer both and at a fantastic price!
I had this fitted two weeks ago and have been delighted so far! Crystal clear DAB means I can listen to Jazz FM which I used to listen to on FM and have really missed for about 5 years!!
It took a while to tweak the sound settings and I have chosen 'loud on' with 'rock' EQ for the best sound in my car.
The bluetooth works superbly with the iPhone 5 both in terms of streaming music (and podcasts etc) and using the telephone handsfree. It's a bonus that it has an external mic.
The fitter at Sevenoaks store (who was great) said that this was one of the strongest DAB signals he had come across (and their store is in a poor reception area).
Overall highly delighted. I am really enjoying driving again.
Don't be put off by the fact it is not a well known make!"

"really pleased with this item, the only down side is there was no ariel in the box, but clearly states that there is one, either way the magnetic ariel it suppose to come with is of no use to me as this item is in my campervan which has a fibreglass roof. but over all a good item and works well, slight loss of signal in low areas even with the recomended booster ariel by a membere of staff"

"I purchased this Radio online and booked the in store fitting too. Can't fault the service,as the fitter was off sick the day it should have been fitted, so the store rang me and arranged fitting for another day. "This is the beesnees the dab takes a little time to get used to but quality of sound is that much better,you get 3 bands of dab that can store 6 stations on each. This piece of kit will even allow me to make/receive phone calls with my very old mobile."

"Considering the reasonable price I was suprised by the performance. DAB reception seems fairly good on my original aerial using an amplified splitter. If there is a downside I think that the removable display panel is a bit fiddly to fit and it's best left in place, and the manual is fairly useless"

"Instalation was easy with cable adaptor from Halfords. Product very simple to set-up especially Bluetooth with Sony-Ericsson-hassle free. I was looking for Hands-free system and if you do your homework you probably notice that you need to pay the same or even more for good Parot set, so the rest comes free:). Sound quality on hands-free is good but needed to turn the low tones down as my speakers aren't good. Apart from that nothing negative to say. DAB is great, traveling mostly on A roads and within rural areas rearly loosing signal unles is really wet day than is not so great.
CD works, so is the AUX, Card and USB reader. Simply all you may possibly need from car audio. It feels rather warm after some time of playing CDs' but hasn't cooked yet. Remote Control is a great addition and to be honest I didn't know it comes with it. Great all in one car audio system. So don't hesitate to buy. You may find other, more expensive units but at the end of the day this one is sufficient enough so real bargain. Highly recommended."

"Brought this Stereo as I wanted a stereo with the follwoing requirments for my car, bluetooth, decent looks and hidden cd player. The fact that this was all available on a DAB stereo and at such a low price drew me to the unit.
There was a couple of issues fitting this to my car however the guys at Telford Halfords were great and got around this issue.
Sound quality is great even with standard speakers, Music plays excellent from CD, Standard Radio, DAB, Mobile Phone and USB stick.
You can set the volume and bass and treble for each mode and the Steroe remembers these modes for next time.
Remote control is fantastic and the whole package is fantastic.
Only 2 things I would say that is annoying is: the extra DAB Aerial that needs to be fitted. Being magnetic it needs to be removed beofre going through a car wash unlesh you want to lose it as it is a low quality magnet that has a habit of moving around with just a little pressure.
2nd thing: Time it takes for DAB radio to load, system does digital search first everytime you start the car up so it tazkes a while for DAB to load up when you first turn it on each time.
All in All a fantastic product, does everything you could require and more, matches the higher quality brands all the way and for around half thier price.
Looks good, good sound quality, does everything.
I recommend you stop looking, stop reading and get this now."

"I had the Sonichi DAB radio fitted by Dan at Oxford Halfords this afternoon. He did a good job and I am very pleased. The unit is a bit plasticky and the buttons are small and fiddly but at this price I am not complaining. The feel is a bit wobbly and insubstantial. It took me a few attempts to identify my DAB stations and save them and to work out how to pair my iphone with the unit and play music through it but that was mainly because I didn't spend enough time reading the manual to start with. Although obviously translated from another language it does make sense if you read it over a few times. Once I read the manual I was quickly connected to my iphone and the DAB stations I wanted. The handsfree is fine for receiving calls but the microphone is a bit faint for the person at the other end. However, I have repositioned the microphone and it seems a bit better now. Music quality excellent from the DAB radio and via the bluetooth on my iphone. Haven't tried the USB, AUX or SD yet but confident they will be fine too. All in all very happy with my purchase."

The radio is wonderful! Worth the money and the DAB reception has been spot on so far - including driving round the Lake District last weekend. Only lost the signal a couple of times in places I would usually lose FM reception up there."

"I was concerned about the quality with getting such a cheap DAB radio, especially with so many other features built in, but this stereo is fantastic!
Perhaps not the most stylish unit, and it can take a bit of getting used to with the bright blue display, however this performs the task it was purchased for exceptionally well, and the Bluetooth function for streaming my music from my iPhone, to making and receiving phone calls more safely, has me wondering how I ever survived without it before.
DAB reception is very good and crystal clear, and for an entry level stereo, this is an essential purchase.
Halfords claimed it would take hours to fit DAB aerial due to the shape of my car doors and having to find alternative route due to trim and finish, but even I managed to do this myself in only 20 minutes,meaning halfords only had to connect stereo, which they are experts at. the whole thing including the drive to halfords meant my stereo was working an hour after I started fitting aerial.
Instruction book is perhaps not very in depth, but it tells you what you need to know"
