Pros: everything
"Bought this bike to loose some pounds. Been mountain for a few yrs this is my first road bike. Wot can I say about this bike ? It's the dogs. Spec is ace for the £. If u are in the market for a road bike don't consider anything else. Got mine from the Scarborough branch the lads in the bike department no there stuff and service is second to none."

Pros: race geometry frame, box chain stays, bb30 properly installed these are amazing, light agile bike, very durable reliable, halfords amazing back up, great warranty, frame is worth upgrading to ultegra
Cons: tyres i am not a fan of these, white saddle, white bar tape, some people may need a shorter stem, race geometry won't suit all, seat post carbon but not great
"I have many Boardmans including an AiR 9.8 and SLR 9.4,
I purchased 3 of these bikes from the Salisbury branch in Wiltshire and I havent been dissapointed. I use these as my winter and training bikes so in a way they get more punishment than my race machines. The Bike is fantastic and for the price point it has excellent equipment, there isnt much i can say that hasn't already been said but one thing I can add is that, after covering ten thousand miles on my first Team Carbon nothing has gone wrong with it, the obvious things have worn out like tyres, chain, rear cassette, but that is just sheer miles nothing else. The team in Salisbury are fantastic, Christian and Matt in the bike hutt are both well versed in Boardmans which helps hugely.
The components i would recommend to change if you want would be: the carbon seat post is adaquate but not great, a Ritchey carbon post is a lot better and lighter, and possibly the wheels, keep the Mavics as winter trainers and get some nice light summer race wheels, also a personel taste change would be black bar tape and saddle, the saddle is excellant but is white, I have covered thousands of miles on all my Boardmans and unless the product takes a huge u-turn I cant see myself buying any oither make. The only thing I would add is that these bikes have a Race Geometry whch means they are long and low Not a sit up ride. Most seasoned riders will want this but if you are after a more relaxed ride you might need a shorter stem flipped over or maybe the Boardman Comp would be a better shape. This is no way a negative, just a point, this frame follows an Olympic design so it's bound to be racey.

Pros: 105 kit and reinfoced spoke eyelets
Cons: quality of frame finish
"I bought a 2010 team Boardman but did not like the sram kit or the wheels not having reinforced spoke eyelets, but the bike was so good I bought a 2012 team carbon. The 105 kit is excellent and the spoke holes are reinforced.
The cranks have too much flex for me and the finish could be a lot better.
The Halford branch where purchased did not use a torque wrench on either bike. I checked all torques when I got home. They also assembled wheels with quick release lever facing forwards, a big no no from me. AS an retired engineer I wnt be taking back for its free service, can do much better myself.
I have had to adjust front changer to counter crank flex.
Would I buy another? absolutely yes.

"i had searched the net trying to find the best bike with all the bits i wanted for the right money and even sent one back that i bought online as i was so dissapointed with the quality frame finish from one leading bike manufacture, went and looked at the boardman carbon and found so many changes from the 2010 version it was a bargain, had it 3 weeks covered 400 miles so far great great bike, fingers crossed"

Pros: fast and smooth, good value for spec
Cons: a bit light on fast corners
"After many years service from my Carrera Valour, I wanted to move to the next level. I was a bit concerned about spending this kind of money just in case I was disappointed.
However, I need not have worried its an amazing bike. Its light, fast and worth every penny. If you want to spend this kind of money but are hanging back then dont, you wont regret it.
Ben at Redditch branch did a fantastic job setting it up and I have had no problems at all. Covered 600miles so far and very happy.
