"bought this bike flat packed- easy & quick to assemble only slight problem was the back tyre is factory fitted in the opposite rotation!- but, this is a fantastic bike to ride well balanced and smooth gear changes after an hours running in ride, as to value for money I would suggest there isnt a better new bike available on the market today.

"I bought 2 and when we got home started to assemble them and found no tool kits had been given to us after purchasing. Not a problem though as i already had tools. Found one of the seat bolts snapped so had to buy a new one. Overall bikes seem good for there money, had no problems with brakes touching and didnt need adusting."

"I already have a expensive bike, but wanted something cheap I could throw around. I purchased this with a discount and build it out of the box. and I must say I was impressed.

Cons: initial problem with inner tube
"I saw some reviews which were negative so I was a little hesitant to move ahead with this purchase but in the end I am very pleased. I had a problem with the rear inner tube having a puncture so I took it back to the shop and the assistant could not have been more helpful! He replaced the faulty inner tube and even pointed out that I had mis assembled part of the bike! 4 stars for the bike but 5 stars for the helpfulness of the staff at Halfords!"

"Bought this for self-build and its a good deal. Although there were no build instructions, it was easy to build. I found that the bottom bearing and headset were too tight (which may explain some other peoples review comments) , but wheel bearings were okay. Gears did take sometime to get right, but are now good. Brakes are excellent. Tyres and wheels good. My only negative comment is that it feels a bit cramped to ride as the handle bars are very narrow, with not enough room on the bar rubber for adult hands. Bar steel is also light.

Cons: poor build quality, cheap parts
"I bought this bike about 3 weeks ago and have had constant problems with it since day 1.
The first problem was that the front brakes were impossible to set correctly - no matter how many adjustments I made, they always made contact with the wheel rim. I thought I'd persevere and just allow the pads to wear down a little and eventually this was not a problem.
Then I discovered the chain constantly jams and falls off. I've had to stop at least once every couple of days to put the chain back on. Not convenient at all when I'm trying to get to work and somewhat dangerous when it happens when I'm cycling on the road. It happens when cycling in gear and when changing gear.
Now today I have found that the rear wheel is rubbing against the frame of the bike. The rear wheel comes attached to the bike so this was definitely not a problem with the way I assembled it or the way I was riding it.
Do not waste your money on this bike!"
