"Having bought a similar product for my husband to use in his works vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to how strong this product was for the price, his other unit at the plug in socket (not bought from Halfords) had melted!! Lets hope this one lasts."

Pros: does what it says on the tin, can be turned on or off while still plugged in, all sockets light up blue handy for dark

"IMHO an invaluable and essential piece of kit that allows charging/powering of several 12v cigar-lighter adapted items at once, e.g up to 4 mobile phones, handheld devices etc. Don't know it's limits but I wouldn't want to overload with multiple high-drain items (high amp/wattage items) apart from any safety concerns, without engine running there may be a risk of flattening the car battery! Wouldn't be without it though. Great item. Great value."

"When you're on a long journey with the family and the kids are taking up the cigar-lighter-socket with their DVD player what do you, the all important driver, do when you wan to listen to your choons on your iPod transmitter which also needs to plug into said socket? Well, here is the solution! Now to be honest, I can't think of anything else I'd like to plug into it at the same time as a DVD player and an iPod, but you may be different. This dude has FOUR sockets, which should be enough for anyone. It comes with sticky pads to attach it to the interior of your car, a long enough cable for you to be choosy about where you attach it in your car and even a little mounting bracket which can be screwed in discretely to the side of your centre console or similar. The unit can then clip on and off the bracket very easily for stowing when not in use. Nice touch, I thought, as the sticky pads are useless! All in all, very satisfied with this simple toy."

"bought as a replacement for a pound store one that melted as soon as i plugged a cooler box into it. the halfords 4-way multi socket let me run a cooler box and sat nav for several hundred miles and only got slightly warm and 24 hours plugged into a halfords 12volt mains addapter with no problems. money very very well spent, would highly reccomend this multi socket if you wan't to safely run upto 4 high load products."
