"Arrived at Silverlink car park -after shopping returned to the car to find out battery was flat. Went to the local Halfords and Alan was extremely helpful - he used the Dynamic Jump Start and we were on our way.

Cons: charging input is not secure and gets pushed in
"Bought the jump start kit to start my civic 1.5 from a completely flat battery. Got it working right out of the box even without initially charging. Read the manual before though and try to locate the non-moving metallic engine point before trying to start your car.
The AC charge point for the unit is not very secure though and tends to get pushed in. If it was more securely fitted it would be better."

"i was very disappointed with this product. It states it will start up to a 2L petrol engine which I have. After charging all night, it did not even come close to turning over the engine.
May be sutable for smaller engines - who knows?"

Pros: always there when you need it
"Bought this to start my lovely 10 year old Fiat with 1600 cc petrol engine equipped with a battery of only 2 years old. In the snowy/cold winter of 2013 it always did the trick and I will never get caught again by cold wheather. I have used it maybe up to 10 times in the first month after purchasing it - it has never let me down. I would recommend to recharge it always before use and I would advise to always take the charger with you, so you can recharge wherever you are - you just need a socket and a little time- most of the time the appliance was recharged well within 30 minutes. So if your car has trouble starting: buy this instead of trading your vehicle in: saves you money."

"I bought this after a neighbour used one to jump start my car and I could not believe how fast and straightforward it was. I've now used it three times and it is absolutely brilliant.
Because of the length of the cables, you have to balance it on the front of the car, which I was unsure about at first but it seems stable enough. The other niggle is that when the leads are connected to the car, the instructions are facing into the bonnet rather than outwards towards you."

Pros: it works!
"I bought this jump starter to get my 4 wheel drive going, as the battery was flatish in the recent freezing weather.
Being 4WD I had parked it in a position where another vehicle could not reach it for a jump start, due to the thick snow.
I got the dynamic jump starter from Halfords, charged it for a few hours, and it started the vehicle instantly.
Spec says its good for engines up to 2L, but my 2.5 L Delica did not object.
Its a handy tool to keep around the house.
It looks very sturdy, good thick jump cables, and a usefull torch.
Great product."

"Used this twice during the bad weather in January, first on my father car, which was left on his drive when he was on holidays over Christmas. And helped a man who could not start his car in a supermarket car park next to your store in Swansea. Think he said he was going to get one the following day."

Cons: does not do as advertised.
"Rubbish! This wouldn't even start my wifes 1.4l Skoda, only managed to turn the engine over once. It does not have the current delivery to start even small diesel engines. Nowhere near the claimed 2l diesel. I suspect Halfords know this as this item is permanently on offer as half price.

"I purchased after reading other reviews It was for my motor bike and it fired the battery into life straight from the box, perfect for motor bikes that are laid up over winter months no battery disconnection just fix on and go definatly worth its weight in gold would advise for anyone The light attached is also a great idea when working in dark conditions very powerful"
