Pros: quick & easy to erect, bigger than expected
"We were looking for a shelter for the beach back home in Spain which would be big enough for 2 adults, compact for carrying and easy to erect. This shelter is perfect in every way. Added to that is the absolute bargain price. Just can't fault it."

"Really pleased with this sun shelter, it is bigger than I thought but not a bad thing as helpful that my husband and I can sit in the shade with our baby, we are both tall and yet can sit without bending our backs too. It also creates a nice amount of shade infront of the shelter. Very easy to put up and take down without the fuss of those supposedly easy, but really not that easy, pop up shelters. Only thing that would give it 5 stars overall would be if it had a UV protection."

"Bought this to take to a music festival where rain was predicted. It was excellent, and made rainy evenings bearable. It was lightweight to carry, easy to assemble, sturdy, yet not tall enough to obscure the view for others. Three adults tucked into it, and there was space behind us for bags and/or baby."

Pros: very compact and lightweight, not just for the beach
"We bought this shelter for the Fairport Convention festival at Cropredy and it worked a treat - which given the rain we endured was just as well. In the end there were a few drips coming in through the seams, but it was fairly extreme weather.
Having read the reviews we did as recommended and put it up in the back garden before using it for real. It wasn't as difficult as some people found. The instructions for putting it up could be much improved but we liked the fact that they were sewn into the bag so you can't lose them. We also liked the two internal pockets, one on each side.
Tips: When you first try it out you may think that the guy ropes are missing. They aren't - they are pre-attached inside the folded material. Peg out the base first and then slide the collapsible poles in while it's flat. The pegs go in the outer of the two holes. Where they cross, put the two shorter poles under the longer one that makes the arch. It works if it goes over but isn't as good a shape."

"I bought this product based on information on this website which previously stated that the product had SPF 40 protection. I reserved online and collected from store but when I got the product home the packaging did not mention any SPF protection and neither did Gelert's own website. On checking with Gelert's customer service, they confirmed that this product does not offer any SPF protection and Halfords have now amended their website accordingly,
I just wanted to make any parents aware that if they have bought this product based on the previous information on this website believing it will offer SPF sun protection to their little ones, this is not the case. Hope sharing this info helps prevent serious sunburn and injury.
That said, as a basic shelter it's a great product for the money!"
