"This replaces a smaller coolbox that turned into a freezer! It is a very good size and has both mains and 12v power, a real boon with Christmas coming.
It is a sturdy item and we hope it will give years of service."

Pros: wheels and towing handle
"The dual voltage makes this a really useful item, especially for transporting frozen or chilled food in warm weather with overnight stops. Just lift the box out of the car and plug in to the mains. The large capacity makes it invaluable when taking large stocks of perishables on holiday."

"If this coolbox will fit in your boot then its the best value one you can buy. I 'd been looking for one for ages then came across this, its well made, cools things great and isn't to noisly. Overall definitly 5 stars."

Pros: dont have to waste milk any more, can now take food for all week, saves paying service station prices
"I use the fridge 5 days a week, as a truck driver it sites well on the passangers seat and the "in car" lead is more that long enough when hen in place by the seat belt"

"We bought this for use when caravanning in order to give us more fridge space. It is ideal for this and also works well in the car. It does create a little bit of condensation inside otherwise we have had no problems whatsoever."

Pros: generous size, long 12v lead, split door to minimise "cool" loss, wheels for easy transport
Cons: mains lead could be longer, not as quiet as some boxes
"This a great coolbox, due to it's generous size (40 ltrs) you can put in all the food you need for a weekend away and possibly longer.
It's worth making sure that air can circulate properly when you load it with your stuff or the things furthest away from the cooler will suffer.
The 12v lead is a generous 8ft, if only the mains lead was as long, it's only about 4 feet.
The wheels are a great plus when transporting the cooler when full. All in all a good buy."

"Large enough to satisy my requirements for a family of 6. It dosent run from my van battery when plugged into a 3 pin socket. You need to use site electrics or car 12v."

"This is a great coolbox. There is a slight noise of the fan as it works, but it didn't bother us at all. It does collect condensation at the bottom, but we used it for bottles of drinks etc so that was no problem. Definitely recommended."

"Chills well, plenty of space, quite sturdy. It is quite noisy (I am not fussy at all but it did suprise me when I turned it on for the first time). I also noticed that a lot of water was produced. I needed to place a rag underneath the cooling section to catch the drips when opening."

Pros: you really can run it for a long time, 40l really is "small fridge" size
Cons: small fridges are quite big in cars!

(1) this one had a lot of good reviews
(2) it can hold a decent picnic for a family of five
(3) my last coolbox destroyed its electronics with condensation when it was left running for a few days
(4) it was discounted and my work gave me a load of Capital Bonds vouchers.
So far so good. I put 6 cans of room temp beer in it at start up and left it running. 3 hours later, the beer was nicely chilled (and very drinkable of course). This is reasonable performance for an electric coolbox. The other reviewers are right about the mains cable being a bit short, but then it wouldn't pack away in the lid otherwise. Unless you can sit it within 1-2 feet of a mains socket, you'll need a short extension lead. However, it's no great hassle and this seems to be a really good purchase."

"Bought for our first camping trip but not been away yet, however, after a week of purchasing this my fridge freezer started playing up & finally died the night before the new one was due. This cooler was a god send & kept everything from the fridge at the right temp til the new one arrived. I read reviews that it kept stuff best if it was already chilled before going in & this seemed to be right."

"We used this coolbox for camping in a tent and was pleased to find it was quiet enough not to disturb us at night. A family of 5 it is a good size to hold everything we needed. Like the way the cables are attached and concealed in the lid as we would probably lose one otherwise, also like the dividers to seperate bottles from food (removable if you dont like)"

Pros: good for camping and picnics
"We had purcahse a 14L cool box but it did not have main plugs and we could not find the expensive converter anywhere anyway so we decided to go for this bigger model which has a mains plug. Well we do not regret the exchange. The small one would never have fitted all the food we take for a picnic.
I would not have bought it at the normal price but with 30% off it was reasonable value."

Pros: can be used continuously
"I bought this to replace an earlier model, mainly because it can be used on the 12v supply in the car and on the mains at home or on holiday and it has the leads built in. No separate transformer needed. One irritation is the condensate which forms in the chiller unit in the lid - water tends to drip onto the food beneath. Only a real problem if the food is not covered/wrapped. Performs very well. A good buy."
