"As a new cyclist I am buying all for the first time. already bought the mtx rack so went for this bag. Brilliant was looking for some time and Halfords did the best deal the cheapest beating all the usual online stores too. buy this plus the rain cover plus the light all went together great for work I work in an office and this is so easy getting off and on. and on the way home call in the supermarket and get those bits and bobs drop the side bags and off you go. Great product great price. Give us more like this Halfords....."

"Decided to change from Rucksack to pannier on my commute to work and went for the Topeak DXP, well got to say I am very pleased I did, it suits me perfectly, has plenty of space in the main compartment for all my things, i.e, pack up box, phones, glasses, keys, plus i can also get a sweatshift in there, then if the panniers are dropped down theres even more room so storage space not an issue. Quick and very easy to clip on and off (I purchased a Topeak super tourist DX rack) And it fits easily on there. Good solid construction, stylish, Seperate shoulder carrying strap in case I go to work in the car, saves me changing back to my rucksack, the strap has quick release clips.
The only minor little niggle I have with it and I think others have mentioned on the internet is the fact that the bottom slide part that holds it to the rack is a hard plastic, and when its on the rack it can rattle quite a bit, all I do with mine is just put a shortened bungee cord around the back end of the bag onto the rack and its then as quiet as a mouse. So overall I am well satisfied with this, also the fact I got it with a 20% discount made it even better.

"Bought this bag prior to a trip down the midi-canal in Southern France. Held all my summer gear and washbag etc. comfortably. However, didn't plan for winter weather and soon regretted not packing waterproofs and buying a waterproof protective cover, though didn't experience any leaks!! Bag and pannier proved to be a big success but pricey!"

Pros: carry strap, quality construction/materials, looks sharp, quick and secure fit to rack
"Great bag that easily and securely connects to your Topeak MTX rack. Roomy enough for touring and day trips to the beach, and especially handy with the carry strap."

Pros: quick and easy to use, good storage space, useful pockets, flexible, hard wearing
Cons: bit tricky to pack side panniers when not on rack, raincover bought separately
"I’ve used this bag regularly for several months now and find it hard to fault.
The overall capacity seems to be a little bit more than my 35 litre rucksack. The main compartment has a padded velcro divider that can be repositioned anywhere in the bag or just placed flat, which can be handy to stop things rattling about. The extending top compartment does not add much to the overall capacity but can add some space if desperate for it. The pannier pouches don’t strap to the sides of the rack but surprisingly they don’t bounce around and make noise.
The quick release system with the Topeak rack (Super Tourist DX in this case) is very quick to use and yet secure. The bag fell off the rack as I was riding along once though because I hadn’t realised I’d missed the slider, but I’ve since realised you can easily rely on feel to be able to slide it on accurately.
The bag has been very hard wearing, with all the zips still working fine and no signs of material wear despite me stuffing all three compartments on many occassions. The only exception is that much of the long reflector strips on the sides had greyed out in a short time where they have been in contact with the rack whilst the panniers are out, although this hasn’t bothered me much personally as I have the sides out most of the time.
When the bags are sat on a flat surface it takes a bit of getting used to fully loading or unloading the side panniers. The easiest way I’ve found is to lift up the material of the opened pannier with one hand whilst loading or unloading with the other.
Although it’s annoying to have to pay separately for a rain cover, at least it works well (see review)."
