Pros: better than a front mounted basket - more stable., more practical than wicker.
Cons: none
"Side mounted basket is light, sturdy, and so convenient to hang from the back of the bike. It is light to carry into the store and can be stood down while completing purchases.
No problems with balance even when basket is full and heavy on one side of the bike."
