"I bought these roof bars to alow me to use them on a number of vehicles (all with roof rails)
They were easy to fit and are robust and of good design.
I would have liked a spare set of wind stopper inserts as the cars I use them on are of different dimensions, other than that, Perfect"

"I bought these roof bars as they were considerably cheaper than the alternatives (those which were the same make as the roof box), They were easy to fit and there was no wind noise - we tested them out over a 1000 mile journey! A great alternative which I'm very pleased with."

"My well used - and well loved - Thule bars did not fit my new vehicle. When I looked at the comparative costs of new bars I decided to try the cheaper Halford brand.
No regrets - the Halfords are every bit as good as their predecessors - and a good bit less costly. The Halford set has an excellent no-tool fixing system. So has the Thule, but again for much less cost."

"To be honest, there's not much to review about these. They are bars that fit onto your roof rails.
So... what to say?
Well, firstly, they are indeed extremely easy to fit. As I needed to use them on the day I collected them, I decided that I would try to fit them in the car park of Farnborough Halfords rather than drop the rear seats to carry the extremely long box home. Fitting was simplicity itself, with no tools needed other than the locking key that is provided with the bars. That reminds me, the description doesn't say anything about these being lockable, and although the key and aperture are made of plastic, the shape of the lock mechanism (sort of like a torx bit but with far more spikes) means it would be almost impossible to remove these without resorting to a power drill and ruining the bars (although everyone with halfords roof bars will of course have the same key as you). To be honest, the locking facility doersn't worry me that much as I have no intention of buggering up my mpg by leaving them on top of the car when I'm not using them.
So, about 5 minutes after opening the box my roof bars were fitted and ready to use. A short journey transporting a very long ladder proved uneventful, and when I removed the bars the next day there was no sign that they had ever been there. The soft foam lining of the gripping bits left no mark on the roof bars of my Saab 9-5 estate.
They do seem a bit expensive for what they are, but when you read some of the horror stories about cheaper options, it perhaps explains why branded products cost moere than twice as much.
Next step is a roof box ready for a trip to Devon. These bars have made me confident enough to choose the Halfords brand again."

"Searched around for these because Honda have stopped doing them for my car. Decided on these because they looked OK and reasonably priced for the amount of use they will get. Easy to fit, some of the previous models I have owned involved step ladders and about 2 hours juggling, fitted these in about 5 minutes or less, the wife thought I had'nt put them on, I was back so quick. The only criticism I have about them is, there are no side stops. Secured a ladder on them, and although I secured them at the intersections of the roof bars and top bars, it didn't give you a feeling of confidence that the ladder would still be in the same place when I arrived, hence the 3 stars"
