"I ordered this through reserve and collect and when I received the item the cardboard box was torn and battered. A quick inspection in the car revealed that the hinges on the case were broken and the lid wouldn't stay on. Store staff were very helpful but only had a store display set to spare so I had the plastic case off that and had to live with my battered packaging. The quality of the tools is reasonable but the finish is not up to the standard of other 'expert' tool sets. I would call this an okay DIY set that probably won't break the first time you use it. There is a good selection of sockets and bits but odd ones aren't included such as a 7mm hex bit. I haven't tested the set for durability but if you keep the receipt you've got a life time guarantee so if anything fails when it shouldn't you can get it replaced. Value isn't fantastic even at half price. This isn't a premium product even if appears to be one by name. I bought it as a portable DIY set to go in a motorbike top box for the odd roadside repair or tweak."

"This is a great extremely handy piece of kit. I bought this for my tool kit at work (I am an engineer), and take it with me everywhere. I especially like the screwdriver-style handle that you can attach the ratchet to. That tied in with the lifetime warrantee and you're in for a winner! The other engineers at my work place liked it that much that they all have a set now too....."

"A quick disclaimer first, I bought this as a gift, so I shall review it based on the 1/4" drive tools I have in my larger 150 piece set. These tools are fantastic value, and the lifetime warranty is genuine, having personally made a claim despite admissions of my own ham-fistedness. The chrome finish is tough, having not a spot of rust despite being used outdoors in all weather. This 1/4" set is perfect for smaller jobs such as radio controlled car maintenance, particularly since a socket wrench can be put into the back of the screwdriver handle."

"Seems pretty good to me. Top tip if, like me, you've never used a non-cheapo set before: you need to push in the button on the back of the ratchet to allow the sockets to slide onto the drive shaft. Embarrassingly I hadn't figured that out on my own and thought the ratchet was faulty! Luckily the guy in Halfords didn't make it too obvious that I was an idiot :)"

"I bought this socket set when it was on a promotion so it seemed like very good value. When I used it for the first time I found that the 12mm socket was malformed and unusable. I had to go back to Halfords where the friendly staff sorted it out very quickly. After some use I've noticed that the retaining spring in the adaptor that allows the driver bits to be used with the screwdriver handle tends to pop out. This is a bit irritating and it might get lost."
